I was listening to the song If We Are The Body by Casting Crowns the other day, and the lyrics say,

“If we are the body,
Why aren’t His arms reaching
Why aren’t His hands healing
Why aren’t His words teaching
And if we are the Body
Why aren’t His feet going
Why is His love not showing them there is a way”

Well, I think those lyrics ring true.  However, I think I’d add “If we are the body, Why are his fingers pointing, and his voice complaining, and his rear end sitting comfortably in an easy chair?”
